Starting in December, Facebook will disable certain MESSAGING- RELATED ads, targeting options and metrics for ads delivered to and from Europe. |
The following features and options will be unavailable due to new privacy rules in Europe:
1. Within Messages, Traffic and Conversion objectives, the ‘Conversations’ and ‘Leads’ optimization options will no longer be available. Instead you can optimize for ‘Link Clicks’.
2. Lead Generation Message Templates will no longer be available to select. This allowed advertisers to ask questions to people who showed interested in your business and continue the conversation with qualified leads directly in Messenger.
3. Sponsored Messages will no longer be available. Sponsored Messages allowed advertisers to send offers, promotions and updates directly to the people your business talks to on Messenger.
